[NL] l'Approche houdt zijn zomertentoonstelling door een verzameling werken samen te brengen, waarvan sommige al in onze muren te zien waren, en andere voor het eerst te zien zijn.
Het is geen thematentoonstelling. Er is geen kritisch of literair onderwerp of voorwendsel. Het werk heeft volgens deze benadering zijn temporele en begrijpelijke deel, het deel dat traditioneel door curatorprojecten naar voren wordt gebracht. Maar laten we het deze keer ook benadrukken, het tijdloze deel ervan, noch toegankelijk, noch begrijpelijk, autonoom in de relatie die het aangaat met de geschiedenis, de wereld, de kijkers en de andere werken. En, natuurlijk zonder bemiddeling en verhandeling, in een onvermijdelijke onhandige controle van de zichtbaarheid ervan.
[EN] l'Approche is holding its summer exhibition by bringing together a collection of works, some of which have already been seen within our walls, and others which are being seen for the first time.
It's not a themed exhibition. There's no critical or literary subject matter or pretext. The work, according to this approach, has its temporal and intelligible part, the one traditionally put forward by curatorial projects, but also, let us underline it this time, its timeless part, neither accessible nor intelligible, autonomous in the relationship it establishes with history, the world, the viewers, the other works, and naturally dispensing with mediation and discourse in an inevitably clumsy mastery of its visibility.
[FR] l’Approche fait son exposition d’été en réunissant une collection d’œuvres dont certaines ont déjà été vues en nos murs, et d’autres qui le sont pour la première fois.
Ce n’est pas une exposition thématique. Il n’y a ni sujet ni prétexte critique ou littéraire. L’œuvre, selon cette approche, possède sa part temporelle et intelligible, celle qui est traditionnellement mise en avant par les projets curatoriaux, mais aussi, soulignons-le cette fois, sa part atemporelle, ni accessible ni intelligible, autonome dans la relation qu’elle établit avec l’histoire, le monde, les regardeurs, les autres œuvres, et se passant naturellement de médiateur et de discours dans une maîtrise forcément maladroite de sa visibilité.
